Help build a real accessibility data layer.
There are several ways to support Open Accessibility, but the one that moves the project forward the most is the simplest: helping us actually get auditors out into the world and into the spaces people want to know about.
The highest-impact contribution
Sponsor real-world accessibility audits for the price of a Doordash delivery.
An audit is not a desk activity. It is a person traveling to a place, walking the entrance, measuring the steps, opening the restroom door, listening to the room, talking to the manager, and taking the photos that turn an “accessible” label into a structured observation that anyone can rely on.
That work has a cost. We have built the pipeline, the schema, and the tooling to make each audit efficient, but the audit itself still requires time on the ground.
What each sponsored audit includes
- An auditor visiting the location in person
- A short conversation with the manager or staff
- Structured photos as evidence (entrance, restroom, route, seating)
- Mobility, sensory, communication, and environmental checks captured against the schema
- Verification source, evidence type, and confidence recorded with every observation
Other ways to contribute
More ways to get involved.
Sponsoring audits is the most direct way to help, but the project is open and there are several other useful contributions.
Contribute to the schema
Propose new checks, refine option enumerations, or help close gaps in mobility, sensory, communication, and environmental coverage.

If you can visit places on foot, talk to managers, and document what you see, you can collect structured audits using our schema.

If you maintain a mapping product, accessibility app, or assistant, help shape how the data is consumed and what formats are most useful.
