OpenAccessibility

Contribute

Help build a real accessibility data layer.

There are several ways to support Open Accessibility, but the one that moves the project forward the most is the simplest: helping us actually get auditors out into the world and into the spaces people want to know about.

Other ways to contribute

More ways to get involved.

Sponsoring audits is the most direct way to help, but the project is open and there are several other useful contributions.

  • Contribute to the schema

Propose new checks, refine option enumerations, or help close gaps in mobility, sensory, communication, and environmental coverage.

  • Become an auditor

If you can visit places on foot, talk to managers, and document what you see, you can collect structured audits using our schema.

  • Build with the data

If you maintain a mapping product, accessibility app, or assistant, help shape how the data is consumed and what formats are most useful.

    Start a conversation
  • Spread the word

Share the project with city governments, accessibility organizations, civic-tech communities, and anyone working on the physical-world data gap.
